Primary Ballet Division
The Primary Division follows the Cecchetti Method of Ballet, which is a structured system of leveled syllabus classes taught only by certified teachers. Each level provides attainable goals that build self-confidence and help students develop strong technique, artistry, and quality of movement. Examinations will be offered at the end of the year for those who wish to participate, but are not mandatory.
Primary Ballet 1 Ages: must be in 1st grade, or age 6-7
Excellent preparation for Graded Level. Prior formal ballet training is not required. This class follows Pre-Ballet and precedes the Primary Ballet 2. Suitable for students with one year or less of formal ballet training. Students focus on the muscular development necessary to execute classical ballet movements. Classes explore the fundamentals of correct alignment, turn-out, balance, strength, and flexibility.
Minimum study requirement: once weekly
Primary Ballet 2 Ages: must be in 2nd grade, or age 7-8
